TonyF Posted June 25, 2023 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I purchased the C Lux last year, I really wanted the D Lux having had a Panasonic LX100 in the past but had to reign in my spending for other requirements. I am relatively happy with the camera, and the results are good, but the viewfinder is frustratingly tiny and virtually useless into the light. Has anyone any recommendations to improve this aspect of the Camera?
Advertisement Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Hi TonyF, Take a look here Leica C Lux Viewfinder. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted June 25, 2023 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2023 A viewfinder on a tiny camera will always be a compromise. Try shielding with your left hand, or change your viewpoint to counter the glare. In such conditions almost all cameras are less easy to frame. For anything special, return when there is less glare facing you.
TonyF Posted June 27, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted June 27, 2023 WDA. Thank you for your comments, the C Lux isn't that tiny when compared to the Sony RX models. I also have a Canon G5X which is slightly smaller except for the hump on the top which is for the viewfinder(and a very good one it is too). I was really hoping that some 'whiz kid' had found an attachment to improve this drawback? Just as an aside I took the camera to my local Park on the first day I got it and was experimenting with the zoom. A teenage girl walked past me and said "Oh that's nice, you've got one of those old fashioned cameras!" I started rabbiting about 1" sensor, 15 times zoom etc.. and she said "You should get an iPhone!" Perhaps I should. TF
wda Posted June 27, 2023 Share #4 Posted June 27, 2023 Well, it depends on which model C Lux you have. The one based on the LF1 certainly is tiny.
