eev776 Posted June 22, 2023 Share #1  Posted June 22, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Leica Forum! I just purchased pretty cool fisheye lens 16mm F/2.8 Fisheye-Elmarit-R (1974-1979) to use with M11. I was looking for any technical data materials and it's really hard to find anything other than Wiki page, I found some descriptions in my 1976 Leica Directory book, page scan attached below. If anybody has a PDF or scans with MTF graphs and Depth of field table please share. Thank you! Ed Welcome, dear visitor! frame-it Posted June 22, 2023 Share #2 Â Posted June 22, 2023 search on google for Minolta MC Fish-Eye Rokkor-OK 16mm f/2.8, that's most probably the exact the same lens and data might be available for it the Fish List might have some links https://www.thefisheyelist.com/lens_manaufacterer/leica/ Â

AZN Posted June 23, 2023 Share #4  Posted June 23, 2023 (edited) I don't think there are any datasheets or MTF charts available, at least online. I have PDF datasheets for all my R lenses (12 of them…) except for the 16mm Fisheye-Elmarit. Edited June 23, 2023 by AZN
ph. Posted June 25, 2023 Share #5 Â Posted June 25, 2023 sir, on page 523 of the massive book on leica by Erwin Putz you will find a description of this lens. He obviously dislikes fisheye distortion. p.
Martin K Posted June 26, 2023 Share #6  Posted June 26, 2023 In his book Angewandte Leica Technik: Leica-R (Gunter Osterloh) of 1994 a slightly better diagram of the Leica Fisheye can be found. Attached. Kind regards, Martin Welcome, dear visitor! Thank you, that is better than what I got. Surprisingly this lens not even listed in menu of R lens in M11 camera. It’s a fun lens, too bad everybody disregarded it. I made a living 1997 - 2005 shooting QTVR images with this lens.  At first using a motorised R6.2, then either a M4-P or M6TTL with the motor winder M. 🤔
