Oh, my goodness, Armi!!! This is FABULOUS! Thank you so much for your reply with photo! Wow...this really puts me at ease and allays my concerns. Really appreciate you posting the photo! I don't mean to go off-topic, but while we're here, how are you liking the 43? Any positive or negative surprises you weren't expecting?

No worries, happy to help!

Originally I own the Q2. In most use, i set it at 35mm or 50mm crop and further crop in post. However I realized I couldn’t crop as much as I’d like.

So I made an appointment with my local Leica store to try out the Q3 28 and trade in the Q2. The sales guy heard my story and suggested I try out the Q3 43 instead. 10 min of trying won me over with the improved AF and native 43mm. Got a decent trade and brought the 43 home.

Now I use pretty much ONLY the 43; my Canon R6ii, R7 and its plethora of lenses have not been out as much. I would have the Sony RX100VII as a backup during my travels but its use is 5-10% compared to 43. I travel frequently and like street photography. The 43mm frame and isolate subjects better than Q2 imo. I can still further crop extensively in post.

The 43 also has much improved connectivity. I usually download images wired to my iPad, but even wireless it’s faster than Q2. My only gripe is it’s startup speed but not a show stopper.

Excellent! Thanks so much for sharing your comments on the 43, Armi! Congrat's on your 43 and enjoy! I love my Q2 (had the Q1 before that), but I'm really interested in getting a 43, too. Thanks again, and happy image-making, Armi! ~ Douglas
