Hi,

I have tried several times to connect my new (to me) Q2 to my iPhone Leica fotos. Following all directions, and in progress screens all seem ok until it just says it cannot pair.

I have reset my Bluetooth and pairing the Q2 to my ipad Leica Photos went exactly the same but succeeded at first try.

I will be grateful for ideas.

running iOS 16.5 and Leica fotos 2.1.1

thanks in advance,

Tom

Hi Tom, I had, and still have the same issues. I have solved this though for my particular circumstances.

First, with the app open I swipe down- as it instructs you. then click connect, I think then you are invited to join the network so do this.

Then I get a message saying unable to connect. But keep going.  Click ok or join again and then mine does connect.

Its as though I have to do the process twice every time but I always manage to connect.

Hope this is helpful for you and it works. Let me know.

Gary

For a Q2 (mine is a Mono) a card reader is definitely a lot quicker - if you are transferring to an iPhone or iPad, the Apple Card readers are pretty snappy. If you have the time, transferring to the app has a few advantages: Geo location works and I quite like the single tap workflow from the Leica app to Lightroom. Just do your uploads in multiple shorter sessions - trying to upload hundreds of images at one time with the app is a path to madness.

Sometimes you don’t want to take a card out in the wild…

I eventually succeeded by installing new firmware ((5.1.0) on the camera

After that it still didnt work so i did a reset of the camera (main menu 5)

there you have options and choose reset of bluetooth and wifi!!

kind of frustrating but sometimes you need it and you keep trying
