Darrell Posted June 12, 2023 Share #2 Â Posted June 12, 2023 That looks amazing. So much better in silver.
Simone_DF Posted June 12, 2023 Share #3 Â Posted June 12, 2023 I hope they'll keep the black font as the standard for all SL cameras. The big chunky white logo is hideous, imho.

Even the black lettered Leica Logo on this SL2 silver looks nice. I hope someone at Leica has the clout to eliminate the white lettered Leica logo on the SL3 black camera models. The SL2-S lettering looks so much better IMO and not such a distraction as the big white lettering. But then again, seems all the major mirrorless brands go with big white-lettered logos on their mirrorless cameras.
goodbokeh Posted June 12, 2023 Share #5 Â Posted June 12, 2023 (edited) Since this rumored silver SL2 is also presented with leather rather than the textured rubber, the black Leica Logo is very appropriate for the livery design. Like with the Q2, a final flourish of a special edition would be a nice curtain call. This model sure would look sweet with one of my chrome M lenses. I know the 47MP sensor very well between my wife's Lumix S1R and my Q2. For my uses (limited to ISO 1600, 3200 in a rare push) the Raws stand up in comparison to my Sony A1 in terms of highlights, noise and detail. WanFK Posted June 13, 2023 Share #7  Posted June 13, 2023 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica SL2 silver chrome with Leica SL Vario Elmar…..lens silver chrome, as a kit-set will be great. Both silver chrome will make Leica more unique and will be the first in Leica history for FF Auto Focus System. Proud to own it…. goodbokeh Posted June 15, 2023 Share #8 Â Posted June 15, 2023 Well, I pre-ordered the Silver SL2 at B&H after I saw the Leica Rumors announcement this morning. The image in my mind that really closed the deal for me was my recently purchased mint Silver 35/1.4 FLE V1. It's been great on my M10-R but the view is a little tight in the M's viewfinder with my glasses. Fred Miranda (FM) says the 35/FLE V1 tested out just as well across the field on his SL2 as it did on his M10-R. You likely know how thorough FM's lens testing is so there you go...I also have three Leica M teles I plan to use with the SL2: the 75/2.4, 90/2.5 & 135/3.4. I'm still somewhat concerned the SL2 doesn't have EFCS and if I'll detect mechanical shutter shock. I'll thoroughly test the SL2 when it does arrive and see if electronic shutter is needed at times. I'm hopeful I won't have to use electronic shutter. Three sources I respect:Â Robb, LBJ2, and FM view the SL2 and mechanical shutter shock as de minimis. But of course there is always YMMV and sample variation to consider. Â
