Advertisement Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Hi Guest Lotw, Take a look here B&W view in CaptureOne 4.0 - please help. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
FMB Posted November 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 11, 2007 Lot, I think the only system now available is put Saturation -100 and go on with the others regulations. Cheers, Francisco.
Guest Lotw Posted November 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 11, 2007 Thanks Francisco, at least someone who has come to the same conclusion as me.

Lots of info available on the M8 forum on how to re-name these so that they can be recognised. David

HaraldL Posted November 11, 2007 Share #6 Posted November 11, 2007 Lot, Ther has been an answer to this problem in a previous thread, just after the release of v 4.0, I think by Jamie Roberts but I could not find this so quickly. It had something to do with changing the extension name from the JFI profiles. Harald
DavidStone Posted November 11, 2007 Share #7 Posted November 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) In that case I stick to 3.7.7 V. 4 is a big improvement, not least because the profile stays with the image unless you change it. This is what I saved from the M8 forum: Custom profiles: you can use any ICC profiles you used in v.377: as Jamie said: you must rename the xxx.icc profile into LeicaM8-xxx.icc and put this into the directory: Capture one 4\Color profiles\DSLR\ This is valid for Windows systems. It works well in particular for the JFI BW profiles. Thanks, great tip, I missed that. Will try. For others: the profiles folders are now in the program subfolder in Win or Mac for CO4 beta. Full path for CO4b/Windows: <drive>\Program Files\Phase One\Capture One 4\Color Profiles\DSLR Full path for CO4b/Mac: <volume>/Applications/Capture One/Contents/Resources/Profiles/Input
Guest Lotw Posted November 12, 2007 Share #8 Posted November 12, 2007 Thabk you, I will try. Only one thing: I don't know Jamie's B&W profiles. ?
DavidStone Posted November 12, 2007 Share #9 Posted November 12, 2007 Thabk you, I will try. Only one thing: I don't know Jamie's B&W profiles. ? Go to: JFI Color Labs Get the toolkit. Install as above - you can just start with one BW profile to get you going. The standard one emulates, or claims to emulate Ilford FP4. The B&W films kit has a lot more different films, but the standard one works well for me. David
Guest Lotw Posted November 12, 2007 Share #10 Posted November 12, 2007 Wunderbar! FP4 works for me also as the best in ConverttoB&W pro (plug-in in PS), so that gives confidence. Thanks a lot
