Q2 vs Q3 vs APS-C + Upscaling

First of all, let me get it out of the way - I love my Q2M. That's the only Leica I own. But am a big fan of the line. Been eying Q3 since the announcement but can't afford more that what I have. Probably will upgrade to Q3M when it arrives. The question I have been mulling about is this...with the availability of all the new Photoshop technologies - I am thinking upscaling - does it make sense to upgrade from Q2 to Q3 for someone who doesn't have money lying (sp?) around? I know most people don't just look at the extra 13 MP as there are tonnes of other features on Q3, but my question still is valid, I think.

You don’t need 60MP especially if you already have 47MP

Exactly - the increase in pixels, on its own, is a poor reason for upgrading.

You might not realise how small the difference between 60MP and 47MP is. 
Q = 6000 x 4000
Q2 = 8368 x 5584
Q3 = 9520 x 6336

Only 13.5% of linear increase between Q2 and Q3 which is negligible. 
Far less than the whopping 40% increase from Q to Q2. 

So don’t bother for such a small “improvement”
