And "The Gate".  For some reason this gate attracts me.  I have quite a few photos of it.  Here is another.

Timed it on purpose like this? So that it appears that the man and the tree are one?

I must be honest and say no. I was intrigued by the man and followed him until I found a clear background. Then, I have to credit the Q3’s fast 7 frames per second for capturing this moment.

Recognize that shot/location.  Great lighting.

Yes, I got lucky with the lighting.  The camera helped, too.  I like the camera.  It is a "regular carry" kind of camera.  Non-interchangeable lens?  Oh, well, I usually have a 50 on my M bodies and rarely stray from that so it is not an issue for me.  The Trolls of Wetzlar did well with this one.  They found a sweet spot.

I just want to be the one you run to when the night comes

This was a very special composition as I tried to add the stars masked from a shot taken 2 hours later at darkest night with a further one that was taken at dusk. The latter one was taken with ISO 50 so it was completely free from noise. I masked the sky and edited both mountain landscape and sky separately. To darken the sky in the center a bit, I added a mild radial gradation filter in Lightroom. The night shot was denoised in Lightroom and further edited in Photoshop. Most of the work was to separate the stars from the sky, in order to get even the smallest stars  a lot of manual work had to be done. Finally I optimized the result with special adjustment layers.

The building on the left has a very Albert Speer look to its dimensions vis a vis the people sitting by the water. When was this block constructed?
