12 s with a small mini tripod.

Agree that this is a lovely image.  I note that, what I take to be stars, seem to overlay some of the rooftops, including a flag.  Are they stars, or some other light source?

In Beskidy in the Czech Republic, this little hut is in the middle of nowhere and we know it from bike tours in the summer. We were completely suprized to find it open in the winter and selling grog and mulled wine!

Hi Icon 80 ,

in Hamburg at night there are no stars. The lightpolution is so high that you don't get such images in the town.

And in the wintertime there is only small window of time with clear skies.

Sky and the Image of the Alster are separate images.

As you can see I am experimenting a lot with longtime exposures and the Q3 and Sl2-S.

This summer I will do some tests in the city, to see how much of stars you can get on the sensor.

cheers Peter

Here's a couple shots I took with the Q3 in Rockland, Maine this past autumn. The first was tripod mounted, the second handheld.

1st image: f/11, 1/8 sec, ISO 50

2nd image: f/8, 1/200th sec, ISO 200
