Does your adapter have a cutout at the edge? Such a cutout may interfere with the on-flange lens detection sensors of your M10R, since due to the cutout exterior light may reach those sensors despite a lens being mounted to the camera, thus prompting the camera to believe no lens is mounted, and in turn to disable live view. You may want to try an adapter without cutout (the original Leica adapters have a cutout, too).

No issues using my M10r w the Rollei 40 and Live View (back screen and the EVF).  Auto lens detection 'OFF'. Just tried it out. Took a snap of Peppers.  I'm using a generic cheapo adapter.
