Hello I am shooting with a Leica 90mm elamrit M v1 the Fat9

and gets some wire flare and sometimes wire foggy.

Does anyone have any ideas with this?

This happens with many old/older Leica lenses. It’s due to a combination of ineffective lens coatings and internal reflections.  The lauded 40mm Summicron does it too.  Here’s an example from mine - and this was while using a lens hood!  And no filter.

Same with the Summicron-M 50mm V.

My 90/2.8 Fat and Cron 50 V flare worse with the sun outside the frame than when the sun is in frame. It's a Leica thing.

The problem with this flare is that if you use a film RF camera, you have no idea of the consequences until you develop the film.  If you used an SLR (or camera with an EVF) you would see the flare in real time and can accommodate for it.
