It is an interchangeable film back for a Leitz Orthomat, basically a camera that you could combine with a microscope.

No, you can't attach a lens to it.  It is meant to go straight onto the microscope camera.

However, the back's design was borrowed directly from the ADOX 300.  If you get one of those, you can attach this back to it and take pictures.  The ADOX is a fixed-lens camera.
