heidinabucket Posted April 28, 2023 Share #1 Posted April 28, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Recently bought a second hand leica M 246. Put a Voigtlander 21mm F4 in it today and took some test shots outside. So far so good. At home in a well lit window area I took some images at 125/s at F4 and in lightroom while adjusting the exposure a whole lot of speckles began to show up. (perhaps even a dead tiny pixel or three too) Is this level of snow to be expected on a monochrome when shooting in to a dense shadow which you then might light to bump up a little in post? Thank you all for your help. (I'm still in the 15 day grace period with the camera, it was getting tempermental with the LV requiring reset so the dealer is expecting it back in the shop next week so I do have the option of a refund) Welcome, dear visitor! sometimesmaybe Posted April 29, 2023 Share #2 Posted April 29, 2023 it doesnt look like dust and the m246 doesnt have the same sensor corrosion issue as the M9M the little white dots looks like hot pixels to me. it's not usual to have 1 or 2 on a sensor, it's not normal to have so many. im sure someone else on the LUF can speak with more authority in this
