adelie Posted April 25, 2023 Share #1 Â Posted April 25, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Have any members of this forum used or have comments about this tripod collar. I am considering it. I have the Leica SL (original 601 body) and the 24-90 Vario Elmarit. The SL does not have in body image stabilization so I thought that this tripod collar would be a useful addition. Any thoughts or comments are welcomed. It works well, with the following comment(s): Some of the edges are sharp, so not the best friend with ice frozen fingers... As a follow-up to this point; the screw used to fasten the collar is next to impossible to handle with gloves. I understand that these issues are not of a general concern, but for users near the Arctic circle, the construction could have been better. But it works. And certainly, it adds stability on the SL, to a lesser extent on bodies with stabilisation. I use Really Right Stuff (RRS) base plates on SL2/SL2-S, and these give me sufficient stability on tripod, so little/no use of the Novoflex collar these days...
