Perhaps a pre owned Q2 Mono would scratch that itch for me. The M11 Mono is approaching Hasselblad X2D money now and whilst obviously the cameras are not the same, I think the M11 Mono at that price is heading towards too expensive even by Leica standards. It is about NZ$2,000 more than a standard M11 and you get less...! I might p/x my M10R for an M11P when that appears. However having fitted a KameraKraft grip to the M10R I now have access to card and battery without removing the baseplate, as well as Arca Swiss mounting, so that cancels one plus from the 11. I have to revise my comment following Leica's recent price hike in NZ. The M11 was increased in price so the difference now is only NZ$500.
Advertisement Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Hi Kiwimac, Take a look here Overkill? Get both m10m and m10r or go with M11?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Anok Posted June 9, 2023 Share #62 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) I had an M10 and changed it by adding cash to M11. I cried for a long time, missing the M10. When I forgot I fell in love with the M11. It bothered me that I have color and I take black and white photos. I didn't feel comfortable with it. This time, learned from the past, I bought the M11M but left the M11 to decide what to choose. These are such different cameras and each one is great. I left both for now, but if I try the SL3 or SL2 / SL2-s, it probably won't make sense. We'll see. lanetomlane Posted June 10, 2023 Share #63 Posted June 10, 2023 I have both the M10-r and M10M and am perfectly happy. Unfortunately the M11 doesn't 'rock my boat' and can see holding onto this combination for the foreseeable future. In my opinion the M10's are the ultimate bit of kit.
