shuttershaz Posted April 23, 2023 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently acquired a Q2. I've been out of the photography world for quite some time. What is a recommended SD card to use for the Q2. Looking for input on recommended capacity, brand, speed, etc

Marc B-C Posted April 23, 2023 Share #2 Posted April 23, 2023 Congrats on the Q2. I have one and love it. There is a link at the top of the page headed SD cards, worth looking at that. I used the Kingston Canvas React Plus 64GB SDXC Memory Card UHS-II 300R/260W and find it a good improvement over the SanDisk equivalent. I choose 64gb as it gives me more than enough capacity for a two week trip but also if I am going for more than 660 (roughly what it gives at full DNG file size) shots I would rather put them on several cards in case of fault and/or loss.
oldsalt Posted April 24, 2023 Share #3 Posted April 24, 2023 Congrats on your Q2....enjoy. I use SanDisk Extreme Pro 64gb 300 MB/s. I have four of these, which I use for trips etc... "spread the load" and "don't put all you eggs in one basket !!!"
Alexia Posted April 27, 2023 Share #4 Posted April 27, 2023 The Lexar 128gb UHS-II card is excellent.
mark1958a Posted April 28, 2023 Share #5 Posted April 28, 2023 I generally use 256 or 512K SanDisk cards. Unless I am going to shoot something that requires high fire shooting dont care if I use slower cards. In terms of all eggs in one basket, when I am traveling, I will download my images at the end of the day on my computer or a spare hard drive. I can keep the originals on the SD card as an extra copy in case something happens
