jklotz Posted November 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I plug the USB into the M8, and Lightroom is running, as soon as I turn the power on the camera on, lightroom hangs up. It just sits there and I get the spinning beach ball thingy. If I don't force quit, eventually, like 5 minutes or more, it comes back up and will then allow me to download the files. I'm on a Mac G5 running 10.4.1 Anybody else have this problem? ps - I've ordered an external card reader, but am waiting on UPS to deliver. I suspect this will cure the problem, but I'd like to know what is going on regardless. Thanks
Advertisement Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Hi jklotz, Take a look here M8 and Lightroom. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Shootist Posted November 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2007 You probably won't get to many replies as the consensus is to always use a card reader and never, if possible, use the USB port on the camera. Lightroom should load the image downloader program whether or not LR is actively running, at least on a PC it does (that is if you haven't disabled it from starting with the computer which is what I've done). Have you tried it without LR running? And if you have does the downloader program start?
