Just wanted to share a quick fix to a problem I thought needed sending the camera to Leica for x months for service. My rangfinder did not want to work on half the range. From close to mid range. It was not the lens since the problem was the same on all my lenses. Read about the roller and arm that actuates the rangfinder mechanism could get jerky with age. Found a picture online showing that only two screws needed to disasemble to take the whole top of the camera. I found then one of the small screws holding a print board had come loose and jammed the mechanism!!!! Put it back in its place and found also one of the cable harnesses connecting the top of the camera to the rest of the body to be loose! Welcome, dear visitor!
