At the moment this is a reasonable/ fair price. Especially when you bought the camera at a dealer incl. warranty.

Recently, I bought a black M240 for euro 3k. It was advertised for euro 3250 at a camerashop.

My camera is in absolute mint condition and came with the original box and stuff. I just love the camera. It inspires me to take it with me and make pictures.

Take it out, and make memories with it. It’s worth it 🙂

Enjoy your day!

Absolutely agree!

It’s all about expectations. Of course the Nikon Z Sensor of my mirror less outperforms the Leica in a measurable way, In regards of iso and noise and dynamic range, but:

I honestly treat my M240 like a film camera. Is there light I ask myself? I go out and shoot. 100 or 400, when light is getting less I go up to 800 max. Then I go home and get excited about the files I am going to edit on my computer.

It’s just lovely and it delivers the results I want and enjoy. Like a Fuji100V that I once owned but without all the extra tech.

It is the right camera for ME, guess that’s why I didn’t want the M10P.. too slick, too modern too… but of course better dynamic range.. and if I had have the money it would have been a tougher decision, to be honest.

My mp240 just came today.I spent $3250 on it I'm happy with it. I was looking at the m10s for awhile. I decided to go for the mp240 and used the extra cash to get Panasonic 16-35 for my SL2S. My first SL lens to go with all my R lens. A happy Adorama shopper.

Hello

Still torn between the M and SL2-S. I have a deal on very condition MP for 2900€ (initial price was 3100€)

I think it's worth the price for an M, still not quite though why I can get an SL2-S for approx the same price though :) ?

As the title says. I am just trying not to regret the purchase/avoid buyer's remorse :D Thanks!

Leica itself state the M240 as the most complete camera they have ever build. There is a nice youtube video about is the 240 worth to buy it in 2023 from Leica in german. Very nice, and it will give you confidence in your decision.

Cheers

Chris

I just moved from an SL2 back to M240. I sold the SL2 because it was a handsome profit I made (I bought the SL2 at fire sale price).
But if the SL2-S was the same price, I would get the SL2-S. It is light years ahead in technology vs the M240, can use Leica Foto app, 1/16000s electronic shutter, at least 2.5 stops better ISO, seamless change of focal lengths with no limitations. The only consideration for the M is the form factor and M240 being the sweet spot for depreciation and cost of ownership, amongst the M bodies- M240 to M11. That said, the m240 is heavier, chunkier vs the M10 series and M11.
