louca Posted March 16, 2023 Share #1 Posted March 16, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone experienced either or both lenses? I'm looking into getting a shift lens for my M10-P. Please share any thoughts or comments. Thank you.
Advertisement Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Hi louca, Take a look here Shift Lenses: Olympus OM 24mm f/3.5 or Leica R 28mm f2.8 PC-Super-Angulon-R?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
newtoleica Posted March 17, 2023 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2023 I sold a Zuiko recently. I don’t see the point really on digital - it’s a faf lining it all up and then stopping down. it’s only a shift lens anyway, not a tilt.
Bikie John Posted March 17, 2023 Share #3 Posted March 17, 2023 I don't know if this helps, but ..... I have never had hands on the Olympus 24mm shift lens, and they seem very rare (and correspondingly expensive). I have used the Olympus 35mm f/2.8 shift on an SL2-S and was quite surprised how good the results were. So I would expect the 24 to also perform well. Echoing @newtoleica's comment above, it is probably a bit of a faff on an M body. Since you have the M10-P, have you tried using the perspective correction feature with a non-shift lens? It can be helpful because it shows how much of the frame you will lose if you correct perspective in post-processing. John
