Possibly the new 14-150 may be the business. Meanwhile, will the 80-200mm R lens work(with an adapter). Does it need ROM fittings. You do not need ROM contacts and, remember the crop factor. Each R lens you use will effectively double in focal length. So your 80-200mm will behave as a 160-400. A bit unwieldy I would have thought. You will also lose certain functions. Having said that, I am stunned by the results I get from my elderly R prime lenses.
