PLEASE HELP Oskar, This might come too late, but: You cannot attach a Canon lens to a Leica R body; as far as I know there is no such adapter available. Even if such an adapter were available, you would not be able to focus to infinity because the lens flange to film plane distance is greater on the Leica than it is on the Canon. Usualy, people put Leica lenses on Canon bodies, because in general Leica lenses perform better than Canon lenses. I understand that affordability is an issue but, you would achieve the same results by using a Canon body for your Canon lenses. tobey bilek Posted November 4, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 4, 2007 No but WHY? The optics are what is important.
bobtodrick Posted November 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted November 5, 2007 A well the Canon lenses do not have an aperture ring...which is controlled electronically. On an R body you'd have a lens that could only be used wide open.
