thai.charlie Posted November 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 3, 2007 Focusing wide open would be a challenge on an M8 with the adapter. No rangefinder coupling.

Voigtländer Nokton and Ultron for Nikon and Pentax: Digital Photography Review 58mm x 1.33 = 77mm Hi Andy, The current Nokton 50/1.5 (LTM) is an excellent lens that actually compares very well with the 50 Lux. And thanks for the link. This is a smart move by CV. In fact, it will be impressive if the new (SLR) 58/1.4 can match the 50 Nokton's performance. So, really, the RF lenses are setting the pace for the new SLR lenses, rather than vice-versa. Cheers, Sean
adan Posted November 3, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted November 3, 2007 Charles: I was going on the assumption that Cosina would produced a dedicated RF version WITH rangefinder coupling...just a couple of extra bits of metal in place of the auto-aperture mechanism. Just as Leica makes both RF and SLR versions of its 90 APO. Sean: Yes, I well know the 50 Nokton - but 14% extra reach and an extra 0.1 to the f/stop never hurt...
