An M7 w no DX reader?  Perfect.

I think a new M7 would be neat. I would suggest a DX reader that works. Absolutely would need to continue with the TTL-OTF flash circuit. Too many LEDs for sure, but damn cool camera.

The M7 is definitely a favourite with me. I wonder how many current users actually employ the  DX coder. Speaking for myself, I always (nearly) use bulk film an 'roll my own' and/or expose at other than the 'box speed' regardless of coding. Anyway, my limited experience rates the M7 as the most 'universally functional' Film Leica M.

If they keep the DX reader in our fantasy new M7, then at least change the messaging so they don’t use that single flashing led for five different possibilities!

Releasing the M7 was Leicas death, almost.

A camera least in demand at that point.

I don't think there is any info on sales for any film M.  They just sell all they can make - which sounds good but unless you know how many they are making, it doesn't mean much!
