lats73 Posted November 1, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I'm looking to get a simple tiltable flash for my MP [something like the Metz 36 C2], and have a quick question about the hotshoe on the camera. Right at the front of the hotshoe [after the hole for the locking pin], there is a pin that sticks up and looks like this could be removed with a small screwdriver. I'm a bit confused about what this pin is for, as I see it restricting being able to attach the flash correctly. Can someone explain if possible please? rob_x2004 Posted November 1, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 1, 2007 It sets the center pin at apprx 8+mm, over the only contact you have on an MP. Remove it at your peril. Call it a paint protector.
lats73 Posted November 1, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted November 1, 2007 Thanks Rob - I wasn't planning on removing it! I understand now Cheers Chris
