MartinL Posted October 30, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've had the M8 for 4 months. This is the first time I've had a proper walk-around opportunity. I carried my CV 21, 28, 40, and 75; but the 21 rarely left my camera. More or less post processing depending on the limits of my experience with the lens and the dreariness of the day. It's a tiny and, IMO, very capable lens. I have the LTM version, and unlike some samples seen by Sean Reid, my is razor sharp. I like the smallness of the lens, am thinking about selling my CV 28mm Ultron and getting the CV 28mm f/3.5 version merely for the small size of that lens as I don't need a fast lens. Here are two pix taken with my M8 and the CV 21mm lens, IR filter and hand-coded, no alterations in photoshop save reduction in size for the posting. thompsonkirk Posted October 31, 2007 Share #5 Posted October 31, 2007 Those are nice shots. I'm most struck by the graffiti wall with a BW 'foreground' figure. I'd print that one for my portfolio! When you think about it, a 21 isn't so wide a lens - it's only a 28 on a regular 35mm camera. And cropping the outer corners saves you the tastiest part. My experience was that my CV 28mm lens was sharper in the center than my elderly Elmarit. But what was disconcerting, using the CV on film, was that the significant difference between its center & edge sharpness was more bothersome to the viewer than the Elmarit's lesser but quite uniform sharpness. The 1.33 crop factor eliminates this problem. Kirk Kirk Thompson Photgraphs

I will run a roll of film through my M6 with this lens and see what happens.
