dfarkas Posted October 30, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just letting you guys know that we are hosting a Leica IR workshop this Friday (Nov 2nd). Justin Stailey, the new product specialist for Leica, will be instructing on how to take color and B&W IR pictures with the M8. He will talk about the necessary filters and workflow to make it happen, then we will go out and shoot. The program will start at 10am and go till 5pm. The cost is $65. Loaner M8 cameras, lenses, and filters are included. If anyone is in the area and is interested in attending, give us a call at the store (954-925-0105) to make a reservation. On Saturday (Nov 3rd), we will have mini seminars and a full demo day. Hope some of you can make it. David

c6gowin Posted October 30, 2007 Share #3 Posted October 30, 2007 Sounds like a fun weekend. I wished I could be there, but can't. I for one would appreciate it if you could post some tips/examples from the IR workshop when it is over and you have time to reflect on it. I'll try to take some decent shots and post them up. Too bad you can't make it this time. Next time, I'll give you some more notice. David

Next time, I'll give you some more notice. David Good luck David I posted some images and comments after returning from the Yosemite workshop with Guy and Jack. I did so mostly to show the value of the M8 as a landscape tool given that many were skeptical about its ability to function for that purpose. We were having a lively set of interactions with others posting as well. Next thing I know the whole thread is moved to the photo section where no one (IMHO) will go to learn about this. So I hope that if you post images, and presumably for the purpose of demonstrating the M8 as an IR tool, that you don't get moved forever.
