How you measure and calibrate a shutter way back in 1930!

It’s the same way we tested shutters into the ‘90s.  You set the camera on the test machine, press the shutter button and it would give you a read out, and you either compensated with shutter speed or aperture - or had your camera repair person adjust your shutter. I have no idea what the procedure is now but it’s probably similar.
