Leica M 240 and Leitz 50 Summicron DR

Hi all,

I own a Leica M 240, and I will probably own a 50 Summicron DR. Is it possible to use it by filing the focus cam, which I read in a past post?

I have both of these and you are right, the 50 DR does not work with the M240. It won't focus to infinity, and if you try, it will most likely break the camera.

Whether you want to take a file to the back of your lens is up to you, buy I have left my example on my M2, which is probably where it belongs.
