I love everything about that lens, the way it renders, the fov, and how it handles without me thinking about it…

Gregm61 Posted February 24, 2023 Share #22 Â Posted February 24, 2023 The four current 6-bit coded lenses in my bag are the 18mm f3.8 Super Elmar, 35mm f1.4 FLE (v.1), 75mm f2 and 135mm f3.4. Another day I might have the 21mm f3.4 Super Elmar in place of the 18mm. I have other focal length where I can always change up, but the above is my tried and true. The 50 Elmar-M is an amazing lens and comes real close to the performance of the APO. It has the best price/IQ balance of all M lenses and it's thus a safe way to find out if 50 suits you. Deciding on your (non)favorite focal length is something you can only decide for yourself and by working with it. If you buy that Elmar you can add a CV 75/1.5 Nokton and you are still way under your budget. Edited February 24, 2023 by otto.f
