jrc Posted October 27, 2007 Share #1  Posted October 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I apologize if this has already been posted -- I looked, but couldn't find it. but Adobe has some stuff up about its programs (LIghtroom and Photoshop) having compatibility issues with Mac Leopard. From what I can tell, Leopard essentially won't be compatible with CS2 or earlier (damn! I hadn't upgrade to CS3 because I couldn't see enough reason to.) Lightroom will be updated...sometime -- and apparently isn't fully compatible. The updates look like they're a couple months away.  http://www.adobe.com/support/products/pdfs/leopardsupport.pdf   JC

Guest guy_mancuso Posted October 27, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted October 27, 2007 I'm running okay . CS3 is fine the statement from Adobe is LR needs a update but it seems to be working okay. My MBP is up and running but my issue is my MacPro , long story short I am running Raid 0 from Tiger and having all kinds of issues. after talking to the Genius today when i went in for something else they gave me a couple options . First Undo the Raid 0 that Tiger did than redo it with leopard or split them since the speed improvement is not that great, I have 2 WD 10 raptors in the box but my biggest headache is space there 150 gb but if I split them I can run OS only on one than take the other and make it the Lightroom library which makes sense since that sucks up the OS to begin with. I am erasing now and need to make that decision soon to Raid O or not. I suggest doing a erase and instal than migrate off a backup drive. I think there are some issues with upgrade only with leaving some Tiger stuff on the box. That is my take but my MBP is running very well on Leopard and it does seem faster

TEBnewyork Posted October 27, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted October 27, 2007 The print module seems to be the problem on Lightroom. I was reading about that on DP review after I upgraded one of my computers. I am holding on others until the print issue is resolved. For those who say LR is running fine with Leopard have you tried the print module?
R10dreamer Posted October 28, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted October 28, 2007 The print module needs an Intel based mac to work properly.
TEBnewyork Posted October 28, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted October 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have intel based macs and got an error where it doesn't let you switch into the print module. I was running 1.1. I then downloaded 1.2 and all is OK now.
jason Posted November 3, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted November 3, 2007 I cannot import RAW images from my SD card since I switched to Leopard. I know that they are on the card but LR just imports the accompanying JPEG files instead. Â It may be possible that I altered something in LR but I doubt it. Â Can anyone offer any advice? Â I have actually found this now too - I have to drag and drop the files from the card onto Lightroom to get them to import. Â I have heard elsewhere that a fix is on its way.
