Update on 35mm Summilux V1 Steel Rim remake lens hood issue.

So recently I have sent back my steel rim remake to Leica USA for a replacement, not due to the well documented lens hood issue (unable to fit filters with both hoods), but because of the aperture ring wobble issue. However, I was told that Leica is working on a solution (new lens hood) to resolve the lens hood/filter issue. So essentially they're gonna send me a replacement with that update, which I am very happy with. 

I was not given an ETA or anything so I am not sure how long would that be. The new lens hood does sound pretty interesting and if implemented correctly, will make this lens much more usable. I guess the time I lost without the lens on my hand is sort of compensated by this newer design? I am not sure. What do you guys think? 

I will keep updating this thread for any future updates.
