Hello, just thought I'd let you know that Wey cameras in Surrey Uk who are unfortunately closing down due to retirement have one M8 left in stock. I bought one this week for £2600 (new unopened) and have already received my passport from Leica MK. I wouldn't worry about lack of back up service as the camera is fully guaranteed. There are assorted other bargains to be had -check their website and give them a call! ( I have no association with the company, just a happy customer!)

Sad to hear of the demise of Wey Cameras - one of a shrinking community of true specialist old-school camera stores. Nice folks although it's horrifying to think that the store will probably end up a yuppie wine bar, restaurant or an estate agent.

I too mourn the passing of Wey Cameras who have been so helpful in the last year as I migrated from SLRs to a 'real' camera at last. It is a sign of the times that internet sites with no help and support available will take over from such shops as this one which has really been so great to their customers.

Real pity this shop is closing, I bought my workhorse Nikon F3 from them a while back. A couple of weeks ago I managed to get a M6 TTL at a real knock down price, that left me feeling both elated and guilty at their predicament at the same time.
