It is an early example of purely commercial architecture and a departure from the Beaux Arts style of that period in Paris. The functional steel structure exposed on the exterior, serving as a design element, is not found until much later in the history of architecture. G.P. Chedanne studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and is famous for his magnificent design of the Galleries Lafayette in Paris. Welcome, dear visitor!
