M6 2022 - can you set your ISO dial to 400?

In the case of the ISO dial on your M6, I would say that the imperfection is very minor - I'm as anal as the next guy and this particular issue wouldn't bother me at all.  Since it does not affect the operation of the camera in any way, I'd suggest you try and forget about the tiny alignment problem and spend your time making pictures with the camera instead.  When/if the camera needs to be serviced, perhaps Leica can address the problem then, if it still bothers you.

Sure, Leica needs you to normalize the lack of quality control with a soft attitude, so they can continue to cut costs on quality control, without lowering the sales value. The point is not, I said it for those who can read, whether it bothers me or not, but that they don't control what comes off their manufacturing line. Moreover, given the frequency of this misalignment, it is probably not even part of the checklist. In parallel, I made inquiries to Leica and they deny any evidence of lack of quality control. Even being present in promotional photos of new cameras. So, apart from being a quality control problem, it is an ethical problem. And it takes people to relativize these facts for them to keep doing it.
The advice to turn a blind eye and keep taking pictures, because it's the important thing to do..... is not the point, but yes, it affirms the relativization and the softness and lack of critical reflection (so postmodern) that I was referring to.

The ISO dial thing is an issue - because Leica acknowledged it on mine and fixed it.

You can try and be cute about it, and claim some such nonsense as because it is hand made, that's what you get... Or you can point to all those quality process steps Leica brags about performing on your camera, with the crescendo being the theater of that signed QC card - when in actuality that is just to impress someone who likes signed pieces of paper, and doesn't so much care if his camera was properly assembled.

I bought a like new in box 2022 production MP recently and the ISO is so stiff I worry I would bend the back if I pushed, twist and pressed too hard.

that's not good.  Mine is firm but easy to turn i.e. feels just right.  Place your thumb in the middle of it, push down a little and turn.

You can also try using your thumb and index fingertips together to push down and turn. That worked for me until I got the hang of using just my thumb, which requires spreading the pressure with the pad of your thumb across the dial, not pushing just in the very center.
