But its a head scratcher for me. Dark as a cave inside but with sunlight patches. I figure underexposure but with some lens flare from the bright spot inside? Havent touched the frame, jsut scanned the neg. 100isoFujicolour. Absolutely not a camera / lens problem. Something I have done or havent done. .... Welcome, dear visitor! Guest darkstar2004 Posted October 24, 2007 Share #6 Posted October 24, 2007 My guesses would be - 1: Light leak during processing, or 2: Chemical spill during processing, or 3: Operator error during processing, or 4: Defective chemistry (exhausted or weak developer), or 5: Defective film (but let's be realistic - when's the last time anyone ever hrard of defective Fuji??) Film itself is unblemished. I am putting it down to my error. Beasted teh curves to display the problem areas. There are two sources of harsh light within, 1&2, where the structure is not roofed. Typical chinese joint has courtyards inside. Sunlight on the outside of the building 3. At the time I tried to organise harsh light, and expose to get some detail for the black paint and shadows. I figure my exposure was probably good but it has all jsut flashed out. Figure I have to recognise conditions when the 35/1:1,4 will flare. Dont know if anyone has any suggestions? I learned about filters with R in Laos:D Neg hot spots or whatever one would call them are on the sun bright bits of the frame, which is why I was going for flare.
