erl Posted October 22, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just noticed the following phenomena! My (new, well 2nd hand) M8 records the metadata from my 90mm Cron, pre-Asph non-codedlens. Now, I ain't complaining, but I am puzzled as to how this can be. Curiously awaiting the the proliferation of theories. Unfortunately, my original M8 which has had 2 trips to Solms for surgery, recently returned with my Noct (both for focus calibration) is back 'home' again because I dropped it, just when the focus was perfect. It ain't now! I would love to test it with the 90 to see if if records the metadata of the 90 as well. Looks like a trip to the dealer for a little experiment with one of his bodies.. Advertisement Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Hi erl, Take a look here M8 file displays metadata from non-coded lens1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dpattinson Posted October 22, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 22, 2007 I believe this is due to a screw in a fortuitous place fooling the reader.
erl Posted October 22, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted October 22, 2007 Interesting idea David. I can't wait to try it on another body. 'Fortuitous screw' ...... Hmm;)
