Q1. Can someone explain how Capture 1 allows you to share images to other people/clients?

In Lightroom Classic, I create a collection, sync to the (Adobe) cloud, make the collection public and send someone a link. I have to set the permissions to 'allow download'. The main defect is that the third party can only downloads an image with a resolution of, less than 2000 pixels on the long edge: more than good enough for most online use, but not for high quality printing. If I want to send someone full res jpgs, I have to (e.g.) use Wetransfer, Dropbox of Onedrive.

Does Capture 1 allow online sharing and downloading and, if so, what res, IQ etc?

Q2. Can you use Capture 1 as a source for your images on a website?
I use a Format.com plugin which links a Lightroom collection to a specific gallery of images on my website.

Both these capabilities are important to me, and their absence would stop me migrating to Capture 1 (all other things being equal!)

I may confuse matters here but Capture One doesn’t (yet) have a cloud function like Adobe. The Capture One tutorial suggests that you can export to Dropbox files of any quality you wish so you could maybe just use that, although it’s a bit clunky.

Another YouTube video suggests that the Format plug in is compatible with C1 but I note that it was a much earlier version of C1 so no idea if that is still true.

Personally, I’m only a hobbyist so no need for any of these functions but I have set up a macro on my Mac so that when I export to a folder from C1, the images are automatically added to a specific folder in Apple Photos. I’m old school with my website - I just export the image to the desktop and drag and drop, but then I only have about 30 pictures on the website!
