Adrian Strooper Posted October 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Folks, Just wondering if anyone has used it seen it?! I checked it out online. MTF chart is in a word spectacular! It looks like it could be a rival for the Summicrom 90 asph. BUT...the price is also....HIGH! Who would have thought that Leica is the less expensive of the choices! I don't know I just find quality lenses like this really interesting! I'd love to try it out just to see... Cheers Stroop
Advertisement Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Hi Adrian Strooper, Take a look here Zeiss 2/85 sonnar!?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
adan Posted October 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 23, 2007 Erwin Puts compared it with the Canon 85 f/1.2 and the 75/90 APO cron's here: State of the art of medium tele-lenses | Photography and image capture: the Leica technique and philosophy by Erwin Puts | Erwin Puts. Zeiss ran into some problems with production and design, which took 15 months to iron out, apparently. So it is just now getting to market, and thus not a lot of users yet (beyond the reviewers who got prototypes).
Adrian Strooper Posted October 23, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted October 23, 2007 Ah! Thanks for that Aden! I thought I'd seen it around somewhere... I tell you, it'd want to be good because the price is in direct competition with the summicron 90 asph. Think I'd still want the leica though! Guest s.m.e.p. Posted October 23, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 23, 2007 It´s too big! It´s too heavy! It´s too difficult to focus! Try the Elmarit-M 90/2.
