Advertisement Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Hi rob_x2004, Take a look here Which dev for SCALA?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Mark Antony Posted October 19, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 19, 2007 I think you can buy the dev kits, they seem to be aimed at Labs (each kit does 250+ films) a&o imaging solutions Shop - SCALA ERSTENTWICKLER/XFI F.270 5DXKA I'm not saying buy the kit but there should be Labs that do somewhere, these people are some of the best: dr5 CHROME - Black and White transparency process + THE ONLY RELIABLE SCALA PROCESSING WORLDWIDE Regards Mark
rob_x2004 Posted October 19, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted October 19, 2007 What about for traditional neg? Lovely clear base scans really nice.
Photoskeptic Posted October 19, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 19, 2007 Rob, where did you find some SCALA? Mark, thanks for the heads-up on dr5. I'm thinking of switching all my developing to them. Slides make everything so much easier to handle (including scanning).
richam Posted October 19, 2007 Share #5 Posted October 19, 2007 Rodinal 1:25 for 8.5 minutes at 18C(65F) for great negatives.
Mark Antony Posted October 19, 2007 Share #6 Posted October 19, 2007 What about for traditional neg? Lovely clear base scans really nice. Yes but Scala is quite hard to find, lots of films out there are on a PET clear base, I think its a shame to use Scala as a normal neg film YMMV. Also for those who want B&W slides try Fomapan R100 Foma B&W web page Mark
fotohuis Posted October 19, 2007 Share #7 Posted October 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, Fomapan R100 is a way to go or the Rollei RSD (but very low iso). Preferable clear PET layers: Rollei IR 820/400 on E.I. 100-125 directly in the Scala process (by Dr. 5) or whatever for nice B&W slides.
