ph0toni Posted Thursday at 08:39 AM Share #2584 Posted Thursday at 08:39 AM @wolan In the first photo, with difficult contrasts, excellent DNG processing, very dynamic photo. A beginner's question: is there a way to record the aperture in the EXIF data, or don't all Leica lenses allow this?

I think the latest Leica M cameras can record the aperture used to take a picture, but it is only an estimation, in my experience mostly wrong. Check the related threads on this Forum. Cheers. M lenses have no electronic connection with any M body, so it’s only an estimate. ph0toni Posted 10 hours ago Share #2587 Posted 10 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks @Jeff S I really like the concept of my M246, it's like going back 55 years when I was using my father's III F with Ilford HP4 An out-of-context thought... I think Leica missed the opportunity to completely revamp the "Leica M EV1" concept. It should have included an image stabilizer and added electronic contacts for focal length and aperture. It would have been a revolution for lenses and bodies for the next 100 years.
