Elmarit 28 asph - no filter 😊

Thanks, it is a good picture, scene is well suit d for monochrome treatment.

I have allowed some wild weeds to grow in my backyard with a view to create close up photo opportunity which are getting scarce under current lockdown malaise 😂.

Thanks mmradman 😀

I ‘m longing for normality. This whole corona situation has affected us all in one way or another. I feel almost shameful for complaining when so many is in a much worse situation, but this mess has taken the joy out of many things for me - including photography. However, I can feel the creativity is coming back slowly 👍🏻

I always carry this moderate size of lens with M body for daily snap shots recently!

Thanks. The second version of Voightlander M 28mm f2 seems to be one of the most compact for this type and it has excellent image quality [ref Fred Miranda].

Me thinking, I could finance next camera purchase by swapping Leica in hand for new Voightlander lenses,  maybe even pocket some difference.

Into the first week of my vacation and I finally found the time to walk around the beautiful area on top of Nygårdshøyden (Nygårds hill), also where the University of Bergen (on the west coast of Norway) is situated. Most of the faculties and institutes are housed in old townhouse style buildings and the architecture is typical of various classical and neoclassical style.

The first picture if from the Maritime Museum:

From the Botanical Garden which surrounds the Natural Historical Museum:

The old crane at Laksevåg - Bergen Mekaniske Verksted, the old shipyard. This 200 year old shipyard went bankrupt in the nineties and never quit recovered after that. The area is now in possesion of a property development company and hopefully the history of this area can be incorporated and treated in a respectful way when the area is developed. Thankfully, the crane is now grade A listed, and the owners are required to take care of it.

M246 with Nikkor 24mm f2.8 Ai and XO filter [Yellow-Green].  The lens is 1980s vintage with 0.3m minimum focus distance, something RF lenses are generally not designed to do.

Went for a walk on the Nygårdshøyden today. A lovely area with a beautiful park and old townhouses.
