Mr Fjeld Posted October 7, 2017 Share #564 Posted October 7, 2017 U-Boat Bunker "Hornisse" (Hornet) in Bremen. Never completed. Probably there forever. 246 w./ 35 mm Summilux It is definitely staying there forever We have a similar bunker in Bergen where I live. It was made for three u-boats and was an important target for british bombers. Unfortunately, the collateral damage caused to the local population was severe and a whole children's School was wiped out. After the war they tried just about everything to get rid of the concrete structure but it was an impossible task. It has since received status as a listed building of national importance. I'll see if I can take photo one of these days and post it here. It won't be as good as yours though

proenca Posted October 27, 2017 Share #575 Posted October 27, 2017 Northern Lights over Skjomen/Narvik, Northern Norway. M246, VM Ultron 21mm f/1.8, Capture One Pro 10 (superb with MM files as I found). fantastic photo ! you found Capture One good for MM files ? After a painfull switch to Capture One, I love the thing these days and use it 100% since C9 but found that it doesnt play well with MM files. So I installed Lightroom again, just to be using it with MM files. Maybe I will go back to Capture One again... really dislike lightroom these days... Peter_S Posted October 27, 2017 Share #576 Posted October 27, 2017 (edited) Thank you!Yes, I find it works really well. More sharpeness (that is one of the points of the MM, I guess), and editing options similar to Silver Efex Pro, but more subtle and controlled via masks. SEP overcooks before you know it (that is more a user problem, the software is great, no doubt). Spot correction is a bit finicky...often clone masks work better, which consumes time. I am testing GIMP 9.2 at the moment for rough cases (think film), as I cancelled my Adobe abo (no, not because of suscription, I simply prefer C1).Yes, not many lens profiles, but the manual correction is so effective it does not bother me. Editing takes longer than in LR, but the results are rewarding it. I find myself re-editing a lot of images now...ups. fantastic photo ! you found Capture One good for MM files ? Peter_S Posted October 31, 2017 Share #580 Posted October 31, 2017 Dear Simon, many thanks, I appreciate it. No, I have not published or exhibited them, although I would very much like to...but I lack access to places/magazines that would do so at the moment. These really are incredible shots. Have you exhibited or published them at all?So lucky to be in that beautiful part of the world.
