I've had my Monochrom for six months now, and find street photography to be its best use. I zone focus at f/8 and 6 feet on my 28mm Summicron and everything between 4 and 12 feet is in focus. That works great for street photography—I use auto ISO and just compose and shoot and don't change the settings. Here's a shot from a recent protest march in downtown Oakland, California, against President Trump's repeal of the DACA program. The monochrome treatment is the right feel for street protests.

Street photography with the Monochrom at the Folsom St. Fair—a quintessential "only in San Francisco" event. So many characters, and all more than happy to pose. 28mm Summicron with yellow filter at 1/125, f/8, ISO 800. Processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Here's another shot from the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco. This woman, who struck several poses for me, had a great costume and plenty of attitude. She was a lot of fun.
