Battery life, Sigma vs Leica 24-70

I was reading some older posts that SOME Sigma lenses drain the SL2 battery more than SL lenses. Is that still the case? Wondering if anyone had the opportunity to compare the two 24-70 lenses which seem to be virtually identical except for the housing and software. Reports indicate that the 24-70 SL responds faster on the SL2 then the Sigma, maybe it is also more energy efficient?

that is still the case, applies for the sigma EF adapter and some lenses. not all are affected.

the limitation will be in 4K recording and high speed photo burst mode where you need a battery that is full to use it in does condition, or compensate with addition power.
