Focusing the Nocti at f1 (quizzes and night shots)

That glass was moving like anything:) (of course, it was nothing to do with the wine I'd consumed!). Still, I do agree, I do a lot of sway focusing, but you need to be careful that you don't get so out of balance that camera shake comes in to play.

 

Nice swing picture too.

 

The swing picture was all I had at hand to illustrate the technique.

 

I also shot a bit of basketball with the M8 and Nocti and it worked well there too. I posted a series of these basketball with a Noctulux pictures some time last March.

those are splendid - I had missed them at the time, wonderfully clear. Did you get a high percentage of keepers?
