lars_bergquist Posted October 14, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anybody know anything about the hoods which we are told will be available as options for the new Summarit lenses? The lenses have external threads up front, protected by screw-on rings, so the hoods are obviously screw-on too, and equally obviously round – in the case of the 75 and 90mm lenses cylindrical or near-cylindrical. There would seem to be two hoods, one for the 35 and 50mm and one for the 75 and 90mm lenses (E39 and E46 filters, respectively). I would presume that the hoods would come with appropriate front caps, either slip-on or clip type, probably the first. I still insist that the visible difference between the pro and the tyro is the lens hood. The old man from the Age of Flashpowder

sean_reid Posted October 14, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 14, 2007 I'll have them to test, hopefully, the week of 10/22. I'll check on the hoods. Cheers, Sean
