darylgo Posted December 21, 2022 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2022 The parts are beautiful and beautifully presented. I tried this once and later sent it to DAG for reassembly, he was very kind to me about my endeavors. Perhaps a dumb question, what is the next step? How do you clean the glass, any secrets? 1

Just don’t unscrew the back element (2nd from the right at the bottom row) and don’t disassemble aperture blades I used normal Kodak cleaning kit, I guess it’s ok for this lens.
spydrxx Posted December 22, 2022 Share #4 Posted December 22, 2022 Depending on the contaminents I use several different solutions. If fungus is present I use hydrogen peroxide. If merely haze I typically use an eyeglasses cleaning fluid I make myself (consisting mostly of distilled water, 90% Propyl alcohol and a couple of drops of liquid dish detergent) lightly sprayed onto an eyeglasses microfiber cleaning cloth. Very gently wiping the lens surfaces. And I do mean gently so as to not inadvertantly scratch the coatings or glass.

I've never been able to clean a lens as well as it arrives new. I'm thinking the manufacturers use ultrasonics or some other means.
