JE Posted October 14, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if I'd be able to replace the strap lugs on my iiif on my own, and if so where can I buy them? Mine are almost worn through... Thanks, Jonathan

Mine are almost worn through...Thanks, Jonathan You need to post this in the Film forum. I believe they are pressed in and peened over, like a rivet. If this is the way they are attached I wouldn't try doing it myself, unless I had the proper tools to do it with and had knowledge of how it is done. Send it to a qualified repair center. Again this info is best asked for on the film forum.

imported_peter_m Posted October 14, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 14, 2007 Jonathan, Give Sherry Krauter a call she can do it for you or can tell you if you can do it. Peter
harmsr Posted October 14, 2007 Share #5 Posted October 14, 2007 Sherry doesn't do this on the iiif cameras because she doesn't have the tool/fixture for the iiif, but Don at DAG does. Don replaced the ones on my iiif when he did the CLA. Best, Ray
