If two lenses act differently, it is game over. At least you have a series of lenses which are similar, right? On the other hand, if all the lenses are okay in both positions, except the 50 in one and the 90 in another, then you don't know which of the two lenses is off... Yes, it is the 90 which is really off, but my old 50 is also a little suspect. So I suppose the whole lot must go in for checking, camera, 50, and 90.
